Meg is a licensed therapist (LPC, LCDC) who has a strong practice in substance abuse/dependence. Additionally, she specializes in anxiety, depression, women’s emotional health, domestic violence, mood disorders, adolescent behavior, life adjustment issues, trauma and PTSD, and traumatic brain injury.

Meg is also a Certified Intervention Professional (CIP) for drug and alcohol abuse and mental health issues. Due to her specialty in substance abuse, Meg manages the case from beginning to end, facilitates both mental health and substance abuse interventions and provides counseling and psychoeducation to the families regarding addiction, boundaries, etc. She also participates with the patient and family in securing a place at a treatment center and is instrumental in making sure the patient arrives safely at the facility.

Having received her bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and her Master’s degree in Counseling from Houston Graduate School of Theology, Meg is in private practice in the Memorial area of Houston, TX. She is a Licensed Chemical and Dependency Counselor (LCDC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has experience working with adolescents and adults with mental health and addiction issues, and their families. Meg is also a National Board Certified Counselor.

Meg’s certifications include SMART Recovery, a self-management and training program for addiction recovery and the PREPARE/ENRICH premarital/marital program in which she counsels couples in all stages of their relationship. She is also a Certified Professional Coach specializing in divorce recovery, recovery from addiction and career/life changes, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).

Meg’s clinical approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Reality Therapy. Her approach is genuine, direct and engaging.

Meg also offers concierge services for those whose status, lifestyle, or employment does not allow
traditional therapy services. She provides support and guidance in the comfort of your own home, office, or location of your choice. This service is for those who prefer to have services available on-call and in a variety of settings.
