Hello, my name is Mike Lloyd. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania (go Eagles!), and I currently reside in Ocala, FL with my family (my beautiful wife, intelligent son, and precious daughter). My passion for helping people started at an early age through my work with children on the Autism spectrum. Today, I work with individuals and their families who struggle with trauma, addiction (all-forms), and mental and behavioral health issues. In short, I support individuals, and often their families, in finding recovery & optimum wellness.
My personal recovery journey from substances started in June of 2011. My extensive experience has become one of my greatest assets as I have obtained the ability to build rapport with many varieties of clients and people in need. After receiving my bachelor’s degree in psychology from West Chester University, I accrued a Certified Addiction Counselor, Recovery Coach Professional and Certified Intervention Professional certifications and credentials. I specialize in training and development, crisis intervention, complex family dynamics, mental health diagnoses, substance use disorders, multiple pathways to recovery, intervention, and case management. In the last two years I have professionally facilitated over a hundred individual and family interventions. As a coach and companion, I listen more than I speak, meet each client (and family) where they are at, and always err on the side of empowering a client. As an interventionist, I am trained in and facilitate interventions using multiple intervention modalities and gravitate toward the invitational intervention model while carefully weighing and deciding which method stands the greatest chance of success for each client. My experience consulting and coaching as a highly experienced interventionist benefits clients and their families as they learn how to change patterns that don’t work for their loved one or family.
My personal belief is that everybody deserves a chance at starting a new life. I have become known as the guy who doesn’t quit on anybody and has been aggressively dedicated to the field since 2012. I believe in a well-rounded recovery including mental, spiritual and physical wellness. Every day is spent in gratitude for the family I’ve been fortunate enough to create and the opportunity to love every minute of what I get to do for a living. I look forward to empowering you, your loved one, or client toward whole wellness and well-being.
